Overview:
The Rudas Spa is the oldest traditional Turkish Style bathing experience thermal spa in the city, operating since 1520. The saunas, steam cabins, panoramic rooftop sun terrace and jacuzzi, as well as night-time opening hours and parties to attract young people, further enhance the prestige and popularity of Rudas.
It was a pleasant enough experience with hot and very cold baths in the same space. There is the steam room also which I didn't try but my hubby did. Overall, I preferred Szechenyi thermal baths but hubby preferred Rudas. So I guess they are both pleasant. Either way it's a must when you visit Budapest.

Mondays (and several other day) are men only days in the Thermal Baths. Traditionally men here wear a small white apron to cover thier modesty. You collect this from the man at the turnstile as you enter the changing room. If you are shy, you can still wear swimming trunks [there were about 5 people when I went]. In the steam room and sauna you then spin the apron around and sit on it.

Visited the Baths and was very relaxing. Staff were friendly. the only disappointment was the massage that we booked. the lady spoke minimal English and I received a soft massage when a deep tissue massage was booked.
