An amazing experience visiting this 'ancient' so-to-speak thermal spa featuring various pools at different water temperatures. Little changes seem to have been made to its interior since it was established in the 16th century (with the exception of rudimentary lighting scheme in the pool areas which appears to be in need of a modern upgrade), not many places in the world, perhaps a few cathedrals, exist where this would be the case.

Always wanted to experience a traditional bath in Budapest and picked this one at random. Price seemed ok and had different prices based on which areas of the baths you wanted to use. I chose all inclusive. Staff were generally ok and tried to help but could come across abrupt on occasions. It is hard at first to find your way around. I didn't realise but they have single sex days for the thermal part on the baths. This became more interesting when you are handed an apron to wear instead of swimwear. I don't know why they make a point of no nudity in the baths but expect you to wear an open backed piece of cloth that goes see through anyway. Many people simply undid them in the saunas anyway. Overall an experience but only need an hour and a half and you will probably be done
