Overview:
Relax and enjoy a wonderful day in the historical bath, Gellért Spa, decorated with the world-famous Zsolnay porcelain and mosaics that not only you will, but the Knights of St. John used to adore and to heal in the mineral rich thermal water pools.
The location ist the best in town, i recomans to take a river view room. The food in the restaurant and brasserie are great. Very friendly personal. And the spa is great.

The building at Gellert baths is stunning, and really helps with the relaxing attitude. It wasn't too busy when we went, but I expect it could be at peak times. It's also a little confusing and took us awhile to work out where to rent towels from, but once that was resolved we had a great time.

In my limited time in Budapest I really wanted to try the famous baths and I was recommended these by a travel guide. While I don't know how Gellért measures up to the other options, I was not disappointed. Only one outdoors pool was open, but this is to be expected in November. Inside, there were many to choose from and they were all very pleasant to bathe in. The place was clean, spacious, not very crowded, and reasonably easy to navigate. I suggest getting a private cabin to change in.
