Overview:
Relax and enjoy a wonderful day in the historical bath, Gellért Spa, decorated with the world-famous Zsolnay porcelain and mosaics that not only you will, but the Knights of St. John used to adore and to heal in the mineral rich thermal water pools.
This has a smaller outside area and larger indoor area than others but is very pretty with multiple facilities. Worth an afternoon, especially in bad weather

My father told me to visit the Gellért thermal bath so I had to visit. I’m not really a pool person nor had I visited a bath house like this ever in my lifetime. What an experience! It was beautiful, the building and architecture simply astonishing. The various baths, steam rooms and pools were brilliant. My only advice is ask people where all these various pools are as the place is like a maze. Luckily I jumped in a bath with some local Hungarians at the start who told me about the various baths, pools and steam rooms, they even asked me to follow them through which I obliged. Wonderful local guys with great knowledge of the Gellért baths. It’s a shame the staff don’t seem to have the same care and attention. I stayed for 3 hours and could of gone longer it was so relaxing and peaceful. Ensure you take bathers, towel and thongs as the additional charges for these items are high.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review for us!
Difficult to choose a spa so research beforehand. This was close to our hotel and ornate, so it looked interesting. I would get a cabin for ease and not much more money. Once you have found your feet it's quite easy to navigate. Bring your own towel, footwear, cap required for swimming pool but not for the thermal pools. It's not a huge place but it's great fun and very relaxing and clean.
