Overview:
Relax and enjoy a wonderful day in the historical bath, Gellért Spa, decorated with the world-famous Zsolnay porcelain and mosaics that not only you will, but the Knights of St. John used to adore and to heal in the mineral rich thermal water pools.
My boyfriend and I came here on a Tuesday afternoon and it was super crowdy, but I think it's normal because of the quantity of tourists Budapest is welcoming. Unfortunately most of the visitors are really noisy (especially Italian ones - and I am Italian, but I can't stand Italians abroad on vacation) so all the magic of this place disappears and it feels like to be on a trip during high school. Beside this, this bath is amazing, feels like to be in a Wes Anderson movie.
Thank you for your kind words!
I visited here in 2015 and was very keen to come back. My mum accompanied me this time and was amazed by how pretty the building was. We found the signage quite discreet and actually only ended up finding the other half of the thermal baths about three hours in! Not a problem though, more time to relax. From what we found, there is a swimming pool, two cold plunge pools, three saunas, two steam rooms and five thermal pools (2x 36 degrees, 1x 35 degrees, 1x 38 degrees and 1x 40 degrees). Definitely recommend.
Thank you for making the time to write a review for us!
the place is old and not very clean, is so big that you have to wallk in the cold so much to find another bath... the massage we had, which was the most expensive, was average at most and all in all the other is much much better !!
Thank you for your kind words!
