The history of Lukacs Bath reveals that the geothermal hot spring waters coming from deep underground have been used by the St John’s knights in the 12th century. Lukacs Bath has its strengths and specialities, like the many Gratitude Tablets or stone plaques on its walls saying thank you for the healing power of the geothermal waters, or the Himalayan Salt Room for curing respiratory problems. Lukacs Bath may give a small taste of why Budapest is the City of Baths. Come and exeprience it yourself!
Important Information
- Your ticket is including a locker, where you can leave your valuables

Amazing facility with a huge selection of indoor pools, saunas and outdoor pools. The outdoor pool is great with lots of options - a massage bubble area to lay down on, a circular current pool etc. Especially nice in the evening with various light colors lighting up the pool. if you’re visiting town I would skip the more touristy options (Széchenyi, Gallert) and visit here and Rudas. Less crowds, more relaxing, affordable admission prices etc. The only shortcoming was their lack of WiFi in the rest area, which would be helpful when you’re taking a break from the baths. The waters are also (according to locals) great for medical conditions, back and spine pain etc.

The bath offers great relax with great saunanworld. The staff od saunaworld was very pleasant, sauna program perfect with visiting chilling chamber afterwards. With Budapest card gives the visit valuable relax times.
Thank you for your kind words!
We were recommended to visit this Spa over some others as it has the underground style baths that have the water from the natural springs (some don’t have these.) It is a fun thing to experience while in Budapest but quite different to the sort of ‘spa’ experience we are used to in the UK! It is very smelly because of the chemicals in the natural spring and it’s very basic (no instructions or maps anywhere just kind of grab a towel and work out where to go for yourself!) However we still enjoyed it - my advice is just relax and try and wander around to immerse yourself into the Hungarian culture!
