Descripción:
Thermal water in the Budapest area has been used at least since the ancient Roman times. The first modern open-air bath of Budapest, the Palatinus, opened on Margaret Island in 1921. At the time Palatinus had the largest pool in all of Europe. New indoor areas were created with the reconstruction: a cute pool for kids, one with thermal water for the adults, and some new saunas with an ice cold immersion pool. Boost up that circulation!
Important Information
- Your ticket is including a locker, where you can leave your valuables
- Please bring your own towels and slippers, at the spa they can not provide them
- If you like to use the swimming pool, please bring your own swimming cap
Went here for a full day in August. There's lots of space to chill in the gardens and the pools are very spacious. Food is cheap. What not to love? Some of water slides are only for thrill seekers!
Thank you so much for your kind review!
I had a lovely trip to Palatinus Strand. The surrounding areas were green and the service at the langos cafe was quick and friendly. I would highly recommend Palatinus on a warm, sunny day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
Great for kids... and older. Huge, on Margaret Island, many pools with various water temperatures, ample lawn to play on and relax. Two waterslides and other water activities. Clean, food's available, but crowded, because it's great. Pleasant way to spend a hot day... By the way, "strand" in Hungarian translates to "beach".
Thank you so much for your kind words!
