Szechenyi Spa

We spent four hours here, moving from pool to pool whilst dipping in and out of the sauna and steam rooms. The outside pool is amazing (with a tidal bit which sweeps you round in a circle) but dont miss out on the hot thermal pool at the other side of the central swimming pool.... Truly amazing. We had a cabin which meant we could get changed together and safely leave our bags etc. Its worth it. Make sure you take flip flops but you dont need a swimming hat unless you want to do lane swimming outside. We stayed until after dark so we could experience swimming outside. It was fab! An experience that we'll never forget.

I wavered on whether to do this but my friend said it would be a life changing experience. It was a beautiful sunny day in Budapest in December and he was right. It was truly restful, relaxing and gorgeous. A nice break from our hectic travel schedule and easy to find. They had a beverage bar with beer wine and soft drinks. We paid for a private dressing cabin and that was cool. Multiple pools to choose from with differing temperatures. Friendly social people abound.I highly recommend this when you are in Budapest.
