I didn't really know what to expect reading the reviews on here but myself and my husband actually had a lovely couple of hours in Gelert Baths. You need to have towels, flip flops and a swimming hat with you but just bring them and you won't have to worry about renting them or buying them as they are quite expensive from the gift shop. There are actually signs all over the place and if you just wander around you'll find everything easily enough. Some of the staff were a bit curt but we met a lovely man working there who was happy to answer any questions we had. One of the outdoor baths was closed because it was out of season but I expected as much. It's actually such a stunning place if you take the time to take it all in. It may be a little rough around the edges but it's 100 years old so that adds to the charm of it. You aren't going to an extremely sterile gym pool. Overall it was a lovely way to while away a couple of hours while visiting Budapest
Thank you so much for your kind review!
The place looks amazing and worth it to go to see, but the sauna and a couple things weren't working properly and they were old systems which is kind of upsetting but hopefully after renovation will be way better for everyone
Thank you so much for your kind review!
A lovely way to spend a morning on a cold day in Budapest. The pools and spa areas themselves very traditional and spacious but changing and locker rooms a wee bit cramped and feels like a bit of a maze to walk round. Regardless would go again and would recommend. Note - take pool side footwear and swimming cap if you want to use the pool, a dressing gown may also not be a bad idea!
Thank you for making the time to write a review for us!
