We were a bit disappointed with this spa. Not really what we expected. It all seemed a bit run down. Not very user friendly for those with mobility challenges. The lay out was all over the place, up and down various staircases. We paid for brunch with our ticket online and the food wasn’t great. We also didn’t realise we that towels weren’t provided and were told we had to buy one, no option to rent one either. Floor slippy everywhere so take flip flops or similar. Attempted to swim a few lengths in the main pool and was told I couldn’t without a swimming hat. The area at the side of the pool used for massages looked more like a make shift first aid area behind canvas screens, sooooo glad we didn’t
Thank you for your kind words!
Rudas bath is only a 10 mins walk from Gellert bath .Most tourists come to Rudas head straight to the rooftop bath but I only wanted to sample the Turkish bath which was first built here almost 5 hundred years ago.
Thank you for your kind words!
This was the first bath we went to on our trip to Budapest. It was 3rd on our list of what we wanted to see in terms of thermal baths, but on Thursday morning it was men only and our hotel recommended that we go then versus competing with the masses on the weekend. It's not as visually stunning as some of the other baths, however, we liked the laid back vibe here and high temperature options in the steam, sauna, and pools versus some of the other baths. I would recommend hitting this up if you have time and not in lieu of one of the other major bath features.
Thank you so much for your kind review!
