Descripción:
Thermal water in the Budapest area has been used at least since the ancient Roman times. The first modern open-air bath of Budapest, the Palatinus, opened on Margaret Island in 1921. At the time Palatinus had the largest pool in all of Europe. New indoor areas were created with the reconstruction: a cute pool for kids, one with thermal water for the adults, and some new saunas with an ice cold immersion pool. Boost up that circulation!
Important Information
- Your ticket is including a locker, where you can leave your valuables
- Please bring your own towels and slippers, at the spa they can not provide them
- If you like to use the swimming pool, please bring your own swimming cap
There are a lots of beaches where you can chill in the hot summer but Palatinus is one of the cleanest and biggest. Plus, this is on the middle of an island in the centre of the city. How awesome is that?!
Thank you so much for your kind review!
I love this place! it s huge, lot of space, even though there is a lot of people, you can not feel it :) Price for entrance is bit higher, but it worth for it. In the areal there are lot of small bufe where you can choose what to eat, drink.. to have pancakes.. whatever. Clean toilets, and whole area is a big plus for me.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review for us!
Not as hip and doody as Budapest's other thermal baths, but well laid out, clean as a whistle and with a huge collection of different watering holes (and a water-slide park in the summer). You can while away an entire afternoon here on an island in the Danube (with the very welcome kids) and do it at a fraction of the price the trendier baths charge! And yes, the water is warm and welcoming.
Thank you for your kind words!
