We went to Rudas baths on Wednesday, only to Thermal Baths - Gentlemen only. I was surprised that it was quite busy, if you never been before like me first time goer, its nothing to worry about. Staff speaks English and its easy to navigate. You take Tarzan style cloth to wear while in there. We bought extra 20min water massage, that was pretty good-enjoyed it. Drink plenty of water, you can also relax in glass atrium with beds - quiet zone. We spend 3 hours in Rudas. And will definitely recommend and return again once in Budapest.
Thank you so much for your kind review!
Apparently dating back to the 1500s this a lovely traditional Turkish baths with 5 pools of varying heat and either wet or dry saunas plus resting areas, I have to say I was a little prejudiced and was expecting it to be all old fogies like me but it was good to see that it was not and a good range of ages from young to old were there, although I believe they do not recommend anyone under 12 years to use these baths, but would recommend you check this point first. Should you want to pay a little extra there are many other parts including what I understand to a stunning pool and also a pool with superb views across Budapest neither of which we visited on this occasion, as the main reason for coming here seemed to be for a lot of people the beautiful baths which I would highly recommend

The bath on the roof is just unbelievable. Opposite to the Parliment, you can see the whole bank of Danube. In the evening the lights are mesmerizing
